Milka's journey began in Ethiopia, moving to London at the age of 5 into social housing. Witnessing and living through multiple systemic challenges, Milka committed her life's work to support those facing oppression. Milka completed MSc Forensic Psychology despite the challenges of the systemic racism in higher education.
Rooted in her approach is a commitment to well-being, with over a decade of experience and a strategic focus on shifting power in organisations and society. Milka's unwavering dedication to Racial Justice has shaped her into creating Youth and Racial Justice conferences she works extensively across sectors and corporate organisations, supporting equitable recruitment practices and providing consultancy to Cultural Defence Specialist Unit, CEOs on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion initiatives, furthering her mission for systemic change.
Milka is also a Tree of Life practitioner and has been funded to deliver Tree of Life workshops for Black and Afro-Indigenous communities globally and is trained in Group Facilitation Methods.
Shauna grew up on a council estate in Camden to an Irish family in a predominately Irish community, a place where being a part of the LGBT community was never spoken about or accepted. Creativity and the Arts became a lifeline, Shauna is now a published writer signed to OWN IT! Publishing her memoir in 2018 and is editing her first novel.
For years Shauna has struggled being neurodivergant, this fuelled the passion to create equitable workplaces. Sparking the flame for Pivot Culture.
With 20 years of experience as a Freelance Facilitator, Shauna has worked extensively with teams, brands, educational sector and communities. Her expertise includes leadership development and event production, collaborating with renowned organisations such as Channel 4, Red Bull TV, and BBC 1 Extra Live Lounge.
Shauna delivers the community empowerment model and first hand knows the transformative power of creativity which drives her work internationally.
